Andrea, why did you start Project Giappone?
When I moved to Japan, I wanted to create more than just a personal career. I felt the need to build bridges between Switzerland and Japan - through sport, culture, and stories of courage. Project Giappone is my way to give these connections a voice.
What is the idea behind the name?
Japan has taught me the value of daily discipline and small steps. Switzerland gave me a sense of community and courage to start. Project Giappone is where these two worlds meet - a space for stories of people who take a leap, sometimes small, sometimes big.
How does Project Giappone connect to Nava Projects?
Nava Projects is the container - my personal platform. Under it, I develop initiatives like Faces of Hope (fundraising for young cancer researchers) and Project Giappone (stories of courage). They are different in form, but share the same DNA: turning personal challenges into collective impact.
What kind of stories will we find here?
Honest and simple ones. People who decided to make a change between Switzerland and Japan - moving abroad, starting a company, following a passion. No big speeches, just authentic experiences that can inspire others.
And your personal leap?
Leaving Switzerland for Japan and starting over. I chose to act, not just dream. This project is my way to keep moving forward and to invite others to share their courage, too. I always asked myself: what is the worst that can happen? In the end, the real risk is never trying.
